NEW YORK, NY, June 23, 2021 – Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP is delighted to announce that managing partner Julie Fink has been selected as a finalist by Crain’s New York Business for the first-ever Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Awards in the “Champions of Change” category. These awards celebrate New York City individuals and businesses that lead by example and hold themselves and others accountable for diversity and inclusion initiatives. The winners will be announced via webcast during the Crain’s Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Awards virtual event on July 15, 2021.

In a profile of Fink, Crain’s highlighted her accomplishments: “As one of the youngest managing partners and named partners at a major law firm, Julie Fink leads a diverse commercial and public interest litigation practice and oversees all aspects of the firm’s management. As a result of her leadership, the firm surpasses top-tier law firms in employee compensation and benefits, which include a cutting-edge parental-leave policy. Fink’s work has been at the forefront of civil rights and social justice issues. As an associate, she and partner Roberta Kaplan represented Edith Windsor in the United States v. Windsor, the landmark Supreme Court case that deemed the federal same-sex marriage ban unconstitutional.”
