On September 20, Kaplan Hecker & Fink attorneys filed an amicus brief at the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of constitutional law scholars Melissa Murray, Serena Mayeri, and Reva Siegel in support of the Respondents in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Org.  This case involves HB1510, a Mississippi law that bans abortions, with few exceptions, after the 15th week of pregnancy.  Our brief argues that Mississippi’s regulation not only impermissibly burdens the constitutional right to liberty and bodily autonomy, but also violates the right to equal protection under the law.

Kaplan Hecker & Fink lawyers Roberta Kaplan, Ray Tolentino, Rachel Tuchman, Marcella Coburn, and Anna Collins Peterson contributed to the brief, which can be read in full here.
