NEW YORK, NY, May 20, 2020 – Kaplan Hecker & Fink partner Sean Hecker today moderated a virtual panel hosted by the New York City Bar Association.

The panel, entitled “Conducting Cross-Border Investigations During the Pandemic and in a Post COVID-19 World,” welcomed Diego Durán de la Vega, Palmina Fava, Brian Mich, and Veronica Yepez to talk about how travel restrictions, shelter-in-place orders and work-from-home arrangements have made workflow strategies, such as performing interviews and acquiring data on-site and in-person, more difficult.

Mr. Hecker moderated the discussion, which touched on key investigation strategies including performing interviews without “boots-on-the-ground,” collecting, securing, reviewing and processing data remotely, and cyber security and data retention issues.
