Hannah Charak is a case manager at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP. She joined the firm in 2022.
Prior to joining the firm, Hannah worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Emory College of Arts and Sciences, where she worked with Professor Hank Klibanoff on his Georgia Civil Rights Cold Cases Course, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Emory University Department of History. Hannah also has previous experience as a Manuscript Archive Intern for The Atlanta History Center and as a Researcher for The Georgia Civil Rights Cold Cases Project at Emory University, where she helped research unsolved racially motivated killings for the Peabody Award-winning podcast Buried Truths. In her time at The Georgia Civil Rights Cold Cases Project, Hannah worked on “Season 3: The Ahmaud Arbery Story,” which would go on to be named winner of the 2021 American Bar Association Silver Gavel award.
Hannah received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Emory University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Hannah was awarded the Clio Prize from the Emory University Department of History for her seminar paper entitled “The ‘Fruits of Talmadgeism’: Violence and Voter Suppression in the 1946 Georgia Democratic Primary," as well as the James Z. Rabun Prize for the best record in American history.
