Helen Andrews

Helen Andrews is a senior associate at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP.

At KHF, Helen’s practice is focused on complex civil litigation and investigations. Helen was part of the legal team that successfully represented writer E. Jean Carroll in her sexual battery and defamation suits against Donald Trump, securing two substantial jury verdicts of $5 million and $83.3 million, respectively—both after under three hours of deliberations.

Helen has prior experience as a litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, where her practice included complex commercial litigation, securities fraud, investigations, intellectual property, and real estate disputes. She also maintained an active pro bono practice, representing clients in cases related to special education, immigration, and criminal law.

Helen completed clerkships with the Hon. Collins J. Seitz, Jr. of the Supreme Court of Delaware and the Hon. Jay S. Bybee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She interned in the Child Exploitation Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Helen received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law where she was a Faculty Scholar. While there, she was the Editor in Chief of the Pepperdine Law Review and had a full-time externship with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Helen was inducted into the Order of the Coif and was named the Champion of Armand Arabian Individual Advocacy Tournament and semifinalist for the Moriarity Moot Court Competition. She was also a member of the International Arbitration Moot Court Team, competing twice at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong and finishing as a semifinalist at the Michael Thorsnes International Arbitration Competition. She successfully briefed and argued an appeal before the Ninth Circuit as part of Pepperdine’s Appellate Advocacy Clinic, representing a pretrial detainee alleging violations of his Fourth, Eighth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. She received her B.S. from Cornerstone University.
