Jeffrey Then

Jeffrey Then is a senior associate at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP.

At KHF, Jeffrey’s practice has focused on white collar criminal defense and government investigations, representing both individuals and institutions, and civil litigation matters representing individuals. Jeffrey maintains an active pro bono practice focused on representing clients in asylum matters.

Jeffrey joined the firm after completing a clerkship for the Honorable Analisa Torres of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to his clerkship, Jeffrey was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he gained substantial experience in white collar litigation, including representing prominent clients in the finance and insurance industries in matters involving intellectual property, bankruptcy, insurance, and antitrust, among others. While at Cravath, Jeffrey also maintained a pro bono practice representing clients in asylum and naturalization matters.

Jeffrey received his law degree in 2017 from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent and Harlan Fiske Stone scholar. While at Columbia, Jeffrey was a staff editor of the Columbia Human Rights Law Journal and the articles editor of the Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual, and a member of the Challenging the Consequences of Mass Incarceration clinic. Jeffrey received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania where he majored in Health and Societies with a Public Health concentration and a minor in Urban Studies.
