Justin Horton is an Associate at Kaplan Hecker & Fink. His practice spans both criminal and civil matters, with a focus on white collar defense and investigations and complex commercial litigation.

Justin began his practice as an associate in Debevoise & Plimpton LLP’s white collar/regulatory defense and commercial litigation groups. At Debevoise, Justin worked on sensitive corporate investigations, handled extensive pleadings and motion practice, helped bring two cases to trial, and maintained an active pro bono practice focused on criminal defense, civil rights, and immigration matters. After Debevoise, Justin was policy director on Ned Lamont’s gubernatorial campaign in Connecticut and later served as counsel to the Governor-elect and the gubernatorial transition team.

Justin received his B.A. from Tufts University and studied at the London School of Economics. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a Notes Editor on the Harvard Law Review, a Senior Policy Editor on the Harvard Law & Policy Review, and served on the board of the Harvard Law School Chapter of the American Constitution Society.
