Liza Starr is a summer associate at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP and a rising third-year JD/MBA at Stanford Law School and Stanford Graduate School of Business. At Stanford, Liza is a notes editor on the Stanford Law Review and participated in Stanford’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. She is also a member of the Stanford University Board of Trustees: Committee on Development, a research assistant on topics related to the rise of legal technology, and a Public Interest Mentor. Last summer, Liza worked in the Social Justice and Impact Litigation Section of the Santa Clara County Counsel in San Jose, California. 

Prior to attending law school, Liza worked as a management consultant at Redstone Strategy Group, where she advised philanthropies, nonprofits, and governments to solve urgent social problems, from climate change to food security to education. Before that, Liza was a researcher on land politics and conflict at the National University of Colombia in Bogota. 

Liza graduated magna cum laude from Yale University in 2013 with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics.
