Julia Murphy is a case manager at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP.
Prior to joining KHF, Julia received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award to serve as an English Teaching Assistant (ETA) in Taiwan during the 2022-2023 academic year. Previously, Julia served as a consultant to the Natural Resources Defense Council, Communications Fellow at the League of Conservation Voters, and Digital Fellow on a presidential campaign. Julia began her career as a Digital Media Intern for the Dean Phillips U.S. Congressional Campaign.
Julia received her B.A. from Duke University. She graduated magna cum laude and received “Honors with Highest Distinction” for her Public Policy Honors Thesis, “Carbon Price Pass-Through in the Chinese Emissions Trading Scheme.” At Duke, Julia was a member of a Bass Connections project team that researched the global health effects of electronic waste exposure on maternal and fetal health in Taizhou, China. Julia also conducted research commissioned by the NFL to track awareness of sex trafficking during Super Bowl LII in her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
