Just over two weeks ago, we secured an emergency judicial order requiring that two of our clients be released. Last week, we brought a new action on behalf of another detainee, Jeffrey Hernandez Arevalo. On Friday, U.S. District Judge Terry J. Hatter again granted habeas relief and ordered his immediate release from ICE detention.
We have now turned our attention toward securing a preliminary injunction for these clients. You can read our latest filing here.
